I'll watch college football but the NFL can eat a d!ck.

I think more white guys will boycott the NFL than the black guys who said they were boycotting until Colin Kaepernick was signed to a team. I mean who did they think they were fooling? No chance they weren't watching football. He's not even fully black and It's not like they can watch Empire all day!

I don't care from a moral standpoint. You can do whatever you want but it's actually overshadowing the games which were already being overshadowed by TV commercials.

Ratings might go up slightly because people tuned in to see all the drama. Think they'll go way down over the next few weeks.

I do not watch nearly as much NFL as I use to because of the product on the field. I watch ths Saints and that is about it. I feel like there are a lot of people like me that are disinterested in the product. Players can sit, stand or kneel for the anthem all they want it is their right to do so... I don't agree with it as I have been a part of few dignified transfers while deployed and I have a deeper respect for the flag after experiencing a few of those.

I choose to not watch the first ten minutes of the games today just to avoid it.
But if my Bucs keep playing like they did today, I am down for a boycott. I'll give my tickets to a children's charity or something if that performance is repeated.

The first week will be a wash.
Some people dropped in long enough to see the fall out.
Every week after will bleed the NFL dry over this racist, faux, protest.

Ratings will be up. People tuning in to see what the players were going to do.
They will tank next week.

False. I didn't watch a snap this week, and can easily find better things to do with my day than watch football.

Remember when we were all supposed to boycott Chick-fil-A, and they ended up having their best day ever?
This is the same thing.
Really? When most of America supported what Chick-Fil-A was doing. Now this is much more split than that. The two are not even remotely similar.

NFL ratings were down in nine of 13 time periods through the pro season’s first two weeks, according to Sports Media Watch -

Networks blamed the poor ratings in Week One in part on Hurricane Irma, which slammed Florida. They blamed a multitude of factors for the low viewership last year, including the presidential election and poor match-ups. The NFL last year noted that it’s not that there are fewer viewers of games -- it’s just that they’re not staying tuned in as long, Wieser said.

NFL ratings had been absurdly high for years and were starting to come back down before all of this started. This idea that millions and millions are going to completely stop watching football just is not reality.
I hope the ratings do go down to force the NFL to change how the games are distributed. Viewers shouldn't be limited to whatever game the NFL chooses to show on a network, maybe this will force them to open up how the games distributed.
