Really happy for Poche. After the horrendous outing he had last start and remembering back to the last CWS appearance where he sailed two easy throws to first base which should have been outs (TCU maybe?), it was great to see him pitch well.

Yay part is cool, more importantly he recovered from an absolute shelling during his last outing to deliver under massive pressure.

Could Poche pitch an inning or so Monday if needed? I never noticed his pitch count.

It was brilliant of CPM to use Poche as a reliever.

If we have to play Tuesday he can start. He can certainly pitch either in relief or as a starter Friday.

He may very well get more innings than any of our pitchers if we go all the way.

He pitched great tonight.

He threw 30 pitches and I imagine would be available. But I would think the plan would be Walker and if they needed a middle reliever it would be Gilbert. You still have Hess and Newman as closers.

Need to save Gilbert in case shite hits the fan and we have to play Wednesday. Or you're saying Poche for Wednesday if necessary.
