Hipster Store Sells Wooden Sticks for the Crazy Price of $22 Each

quote:

The sticks (pictured) – literally pieces of wood gathered from a forest – are being sold by an outlet called Botanique Workshop, which styles itself an ‘artisan store and flower shop’.

I feel about Hipsters the same way that Eric Cartman feels about Hippies

That friend is apparently a genius, or at least one hell of a salesman.

I gotta find some idiot who will buy my old fence board pieces.

Somebody hurry and upstage and come out with a version with "naturally broken" ends instead of the smooth "human touched" version currently on sale.

My mom has an antique and craft store. You would be amazed at how much she can get for just tree trunk cut into sections, sanded, and a little clear coat

she can't keep them on her shelves

something like this

Dang, I burned a million dollars this year in the fireplace. Just think how much I would have burned if we had a real winter.

How does one go about cutting a large slab of wood like that and not getting chainsaw marks... Huge Band saw after it's cut into smaller chunks?

I ask bc I build this mount but it is far less than perfect and I'd like build a few more...

Here in Florida if you go antiquing people put a big price on "drift wood", I guess because you find a piece of wood on the beach makes it valuable?

Cut it with a chainsaw then use a router sled to smooth it out or use a big arse disk sander.

Looks like I've finally found my calling. I think I could pick up as many as 20 sticks a day.

I'm about 99% sure I could build someone a tiny house for about $5k in about 1 week.

I may try to build one and see if I can sell it for 50k
