Defensive liability, if they had an offensive player of the year, maybe

As much as people kill Harden's defense, he's a better defender than Isaiah Thomas. That's saying something.

He also is a better offensive player than Thomas. So no, he shouldn't.

One of those shows had an interesting stat the other day. Even though Thomas leads the league in 4th quarter scoring, the Celtics actually have a negative point differential with him on the floor in the 4th.

Thomas shot below 50% (11-26) matched up against Lillard. I'd bench his arse!

The eastern conference as a whole should be DQed from any meaningful postseason awards, IMO

Interesting, because I think Harden is definitely the MVP. Compared to Thomas

1) His offensive stats are close, but better
2) His team is better in a tougher conference despite arguably having worse teammates- Horford is better than anyone else on the Rockets
3) Hard to believe with Harden, but his defense is MUCH better than Thomas'. Thomas is one of the worst everyday starters in the league defensively.

thomas is making a push I think if CC falls to the 4 seed that hurts harden a lot. Won't happen though this is james year. Unless of course bos jumps CLE for the one seed that could give Thomas the boost he needs if he keeps scoring 15 pts every 4th qtr

Harden vexes his defenders when he drives, too. But it’s not because he blows past them. It’s because he stops before the guy stuck guarding him can react, leaving him no choice but to foul Harden, who has led the NBA in free throws for the last three years.
maybe the best the league has ever seen at it what a talent
