No grains, no dairy, no sugar, and no Alchol for 30
Days. At least those are the major ones affecting me the most!

I've done it twice.

I lost about 15-20 lbs each time I did it but you will gain it back if you go back to your old diet. Slowly reintroduce things when you finish up as things you used to eat may or may not upset your stomach, particularly gluten and dairy. To this day, these both aggravate my stomach if I go too heavy on them.

Black coffee, almonds, almond butter, apples, bananas, bacon, and eggs were my go to. Also Ghee, Coconut oil, and coconut aminos are helpful things to have in the pantry.

Your bowel habits will change over the course of the 30 days with some complaining of diarrhea.

Yea it's basically Paleo with a few changes.

I started Monday as well. First few days were hard but it's getting easier now that I have meals planned out and the cravings are starting to disappear.

I started a Google doc with a bunch of recipes and a thread last week. I can share it if you are interested.

I allowed myself a beer this afternoon after I exercised. My main goal was to cut back tremendously on my alcohol intake and the other things were lagniappe. I've handled it well so far.

If you want to drink and remain as compliant as possible, drink 100% agave tequilla. I drank during my second time and learned to enjoy tequila on ice with lime.

How's your energy? Give it about 10-14 days and you'll feel great. Get up and move around

Honestly of all of those the toughest thing for me would be no dairy. I do 10 day cleanses occasionally and that is always the hardest part

What stops me from trying it is that I'm not (yet) willing to give up cream in my coffee. I have a friend who was successful and that was her one concession, she didn't give it up. So I guess I could try it.

I'm on day 21. Lots of tuna fish, salad and bananas with almond butter has helped me survive. Made a decent spaghetti with zucchini noodles and a chili with no beans. I'll probably alway make it like that from now on after seeing sugar is in all of the premades.

Please share.
I've been Whole30 for 21 days now. First 10 days were brutal. But I feel fantastic now. I plan introducing dairy back next month but that's it.

Please feel free to add any of your own. It is not much so far, but I hope I can start building it. That buffalo chicken casserole was amazing.

Doing this as well. Getting rid of beer is the hardest part for me. I cook all my lunches for the week today and put them in microwaveable dishes. It makes it easier when going to work. Drinking lots of water and green tea.

This is easier for me because I can have potatoes. Still eating a lot of cauliflower. Dropped a bunch of weight week one.

I know we're not supposed to weigh ourselves but I checked the scale too and have lost a few pounds.

I always recommend people doing whole30 very strictly because it removes most all the trash currently in the diet. Once you body switches to burning fat for fuel instead of glucose, the magic happens.
