I am not into gifts. This year my wife said I had to have a gift. So I'm going to get a scotch. I usually drink Highland Park Single malt. Any recommendations

If you really like HP tell your wife to order you the HP 21 only available in Europe. It cost about $150 plus shipping. You should also tell her to look for Independent bottles of HP, they will nose and taste very different that the distillery bottles. If you want another scotch to try I would say Talisker 10 or Ardbeg 10. They both cost about the same as HP 12, but are smoky and a bit different in style.

Based on your price range Aberlour Abunah, Macallan Edition No. 2, Lagavulin 16, Ardbeg Ueagedal, or Springbank 12 Cask Strength.

My vote goes to Balvenie Caribbean Cask. Can't go wrong with the previously posted Dalmore. I don't love the super smokey/peaty stuff personally. All I taste is band aids.

Laphroaig - It has a unique, smoky flavor that you might like as a gift but not normally buy for yourself.

I just bought Aberlour 16 as a Christmas present to myself and it's right at $90

If you like HP 12, you might consider Talisker 10 or Caol Ila 12. Both are smoky and a peaty but not as robust as Laphroig.

With that price range, Lagavulin 8 or 16.

that is definitely not a scotch I'd give as a gift unless I knew for certain the giftee liked it.
there's a lot of malts that everybody likes but that's not one of them
I like it a lot but it's not for everyone

You might also try Ardbeg 10.
