New to TD. Sorry if this has all been discussed or I'm in the wrong forum...but I don't have anyone here that cares about it.

I'm watching from afar as the program I grew up with is slowly circling the drain.

Alleva screwed up the Miles thing last year. He screwed up the coaching search this year. Hired Coach O, who I love being on staff...just not as HC.

O potentially screwed up by offering a scholarship to a QB that was never coming here. A position that has been a major need, and we had a great one locked in. And now he is so blindly high on Kiffin that we may lose out on a great OC as well?

LSU is better than this...right?

The only thing we've done right is throwing the bank at Aranda.

The biggest mistake O made was saying "We're going to try and recruit the best offensive coordinator in the country". Everyone knew he meant Kiffin. If he had just said "We're going to bring in a great offensive coordinator" he'd be better off right now. He's going to have to put some work in and recruit someone other than Kiffin now, and he better be good.

ETA: He also should not have commented on the future of the offense until he had a coordinator in hand.

As far as the recruiting stuff, this better be fixed quick. This is supposed to be O's strong area. If we don't see good results on signing day, O should already be on the hot seat.

If everyone didn't know he meant Kiffin, they sure do now. He says one thing about possibly coaching the the CFP and the next day O says the OC likely won't be hired until after the bowl...

I think he said what he had to to get the job ....

I think Clay Travis was dead on when he said "only LSU would make a hire based on a binder full of promises" ...

If that quote is accurate... he is wrong! What he should have said is "only Alleva..."
