Lots of times the better candidate is passed up. The top two reasons are too much money and unprepared. I mean I beat out the Director of Golf at Disney for my last Head Pro job by being prepared and having a ton of recommendations.

Coach O from the sounds of it was prepared. He had people calling Alleva for him. He had a full plan of how he is going work. He was detailed and organized. He has the passion and he had the right plan. Give the man a chance.

If it was Herman for 6 mil or Coach O for close to half, I'm taking O all day and not thinking twice.

**Crosses BallChamp00 off the list for possible Alleva replacement**

Yup. A bunch of people that care about LSU football and don't want to be a mid tier program. Some crybabies! Let's be tough and follow an unqualified coach into mediocrity!

Oh you did? Now that I know that, it makes total sense why LSU hired O.

Some people think more than 5 minutes down the road, and others don't. For the first group, we see the impending ditch that we will be driving into in the new future.

Basing that off a 12-4 (11-3) head coach. Got it.

Same here. I am looking at what was accomplished after Miles was shown the door one-third of the way into the season. You say offensive records set that had not occurred in Miles' tenure.

Were there some disappointments? Sure. Then again, there is some serious talent evaluation and recruiting needing to be done. There were mistakes and I think the program learned from at least most of those. The program is better off right now than it was over the last several years.

I don't think any of us could have done any better or even close over the last seven games. I sure couldn't and I play organized football at the college level many years ago and have a bit of a grasp of what goes into building and maintaining a program, although certainly not enough to think I could ever run one ..... except perhaps into the ground. That's the drawback of there being too many armchair QBs.

I know that a lot of folks are disappointed, but sometimes it's not the size of the dog in the fight as it is the size of the fight in the dog.

I think we did ok for ourselves today. Let's give it a chance and see what happens.
