Im looking for a pocket radio with earphones for my father in law that will pick up 98.1 during home games at Tiger Stadium. He said they used to offer them in the stadium years ago. Any suggestions on what i can buy him that will work during the game?

I have a Sangean radio. You can get them at Walmart. Best portable am/fm radio. Here is a link from Walmart: Sangean Portable Radio

They make several models. Just buy the size that you like.

i bought an ipod w/ a pause feature. I use the pause feature when I'm at home to sync the radio and TV broadcasts.

I think it would be hard to sync live action sitting in the stadium with a live radio broadcast by pressing a pause button. Also, I didn't know you could get a radio broadcast on an ipod. That must be pretty cool.

I use a Sony Walkman (from BestBuy). The reception is not that great though.

Network in TS at game time is the absolute worst.

no, the radio in TS is live, no need to pause and sync. But the satellite tv delay and radio broadcast at home needs to be synced, so hence the pause. If you like to hear the LSU broadcast on TV.

You don't need the internet to listen to local radio on your phone. Your headphones act as an antenna. just download a non streaming fm radio app.
