Update: Kayak fishing Lake Eufaula

Will be down on Lake Eufaula for the 4th at Lakepoint State Park. I know there are a few on here that are familiar with that area.
Any decent bass fishing down that way? You don't have to give me spots if you don't want but any lures or patterns that typically catch there?

Bass fishing capitol of the world. GF has a house on the lake, I have a few spots but couldn't tell you where they were if I wanted to.
I do well on white frogs and chartrues or pumpkin anything.

Always a tournament when I decide to go here.
I usually have the best luck with Senkos. Also a early morning crankbait is pretty effective in some areas.

Lakepoint will be a mess (less traffic), launch at Old Creek Town Park
6 miles away, free launch and You can cover some good protected water if you can get in the forked creek to the north.

Wish I had more of a choice.
Father in law got one of those big arse rv's and is doing a sort of Lake tour. That's where he will be parked.
I don't mind paddling a ways if I can get into some fish.

If you really want to get into some fish and the biggest gators I've seen. Put in at Rood Creek, It is north of Eufaula on GA side.

Ok then, you'll be able to reach a lot of lilly pad fields

North or south from there?

You'll see, I promise. Without a vehicle you won't leave the creek that Lakepoint is in.

That's what my wife's cousin mentioned last time I was down there. He has a house down there on the water, but no dock built yet. He can slip a canoe or kayak in, but wants to be able to put a bass boat or pontoon in. Thankfully their grandfather has a place as well with a boat ramp nearby, but they're thinking about selling it.
I've never fished Eufaula, but you'll catch some bass for sure.

Thanks for the help fellas. My favorite thing to throw is a ribbit frog so hopefully I'll be in the right spot for it.
I'll wear the gopro in case I get eaten y'all can laugh at me screaming like a bitch.

Thing about Lakepoint is that there are a lot of tournaments out of there so there are a lot of bass released within Cowikee Creek.
Bad thing is there are a lot of tournaments out of there and a lot of boats coming in and out of there through the day, but it is very wide at the mouth so you should be good to go
I would stay on the Ala side,(left side as you look out to the main lake) Work that side and up the main river cuts up the Ala. side if you get that far out. If no ribbet bite use your depth finder if you have one to fish any of the creek ledges in near the mouth of the creek. Carolina rig it and hold tight.
If you do go driving to put in the Rood Creek area is a good area also, as a previous poster has said. was a good one.

Either I'm the worst fisherman ever or they just ain't biting.
Fished yesterday afternoon at sunset and got out this morning about 7. I've thrown every color lizard I've got. Every color ribbit frog. White spinner bait. Crankbait Few color senkos. Carolina rig, weightless, everything. Not a nibble.
We are north of the marina. Tons of Lilly pads everywhere but no damn fish.
I had a gator follow my frog all the way to the kayak. I think my arse chewed a hole in my seat.
