Never in my lifetime would I have imagined being more engaged in women's softball than baseball. However, after watching the double header against JMU on Sat. afternoon I am ALL in! That was the most riveting and exciting games I've seen in quite some time - especially having to get 5 outs in bottom of 7th! On the other hand the LSU baseball game on Sat. afternoon was probably the most boring game I've seen in recent memory. Good luck Lady Tigers in CWS! You definitely have earned your stripes.

It's great that they made it, however, they are a terrible fielding team. They tried 2-3 times to give that game away yesterday afternoon.

Softball is a very fun game. I've been loving the SEC Network covering games during the season.

Welcome aboard! That is what these post-season games are all about...making new fans. There was a big spike in fandom after last year's run to the WCWS and hopefully it will happen again.

One small quick lesson....LSU Softball just goes by "Tigers" and not "Lady Tigers".

You sound like a very emotional person DrD.

LSU won a few exciting baseball games this week.

I think he knows that. He was just making a point that he found a new LSU team to support along the way.

Agreed! I was just making a comment about Saturday (1 day) .... I never really liked the women's game b/c it's all about pitching. Now that the umps are making the pitcher's throw more legitimate strikes it's opened up the game and makes it more enjoyable to watch. The bottom of 7th inning was about as exciting 1/2 inning of softball I've ever witnessed. They could really use instant replay in softball. JMU almost stole one from us w the help from umpires. Thank goodness the "Tigers" came out on top. They are primed to make a great run in CWS. Geaux Tigers!

What game are you watching? Softball in general usually always has a lot of action, mainly your top 20 teams but officiating is killing softball and is making it way less enjoyable.

Legitimate strikes? It doesn't have to be down the middle to be a strike and now its getting to that point.

Stub hub. Won't know the time until after the Oregon/UCLA SERIES is done. Probably the 2nd session which begins at 6 on Thursday.

Let's just say the hitters are catching up with the pitchers. Used to be 1-0 was norm.....

The hitters are stronger and more talented with all of the travel ball and summer programs.
