I use hi-yield products just because that's what I have easy access to.

The only drawback I've found is that the glyphosate bottle and the 2-4-D bottle are very similar and can be mistaken.

Burned my front yard pretty good last year because of this bottle confusion.

Read the active ingredients on the label. Whichever one has 2-4-D and dicamba that's the one you want.

Trimec Southern has less 2,4-D than the regular, to make it safer on centipede and St Aug lawns. Ferti-Lome WeedFreeZone is a Trimec product, just a little weaker (more homeowner-friendly). Still provides good results, though.

2-4-D works great for me, even on the large mats.

This worked for me also to get rid of it. Now I spread Barricade 3-times a year and the only thing I have problems with right now is Sage grass and Burweed/Sticker grass that is encroaching from the neighbors yard. I hit the Burweed on the property line with some 2-4-D Monday and it was brown yesterday. Now I need to make a pass by the feed store for some Image for the Sage.
