That's why I've hardly posted here all year. Its either been the same retards saying Anthony Davis sucks, or the same (legitimate) conversation after every loss about how to blow up the roster/FO

The board sucks right now because everyone is waiting for some type of action to indicate how Dell is going to treat the rest of the season. We all want to see a trade or move which let's us know if Dell is thinking short or long term right now. We may see something or at least hear rumors later this week when AA and others are able to be traded.

It was more fun when the Ryno rumors were flying, but there hasn't been any news lately. If we manage to lose tomorrow and Wed, I don't see how major moves will not be made. Then it will get interesting again.

On Zachary Lowe's last podcast he was saying it might be smart for teams like the Pellies and Suns to be hanging onto their assets for as long as possible to let buyers grow more desperate. There are far more buyers than sellers and so the bounty might rise the longer we wait.

The thought of Hassan Whiteside for Ryno gets me pumped, mates

Why? He is going to get a max contract in the offseason and we do not get any rights trading for him. If he comes here and does well, then we lose draft position and he still may elect to go elsewhere in the offseason. If he comes here and does poorly, then he likely won't sign with us.

Trading for Hassan Whiteside would be a horrible move. Even if you ignore all of the personality red flags, he supposedly will get a max deal and the Pels only need a part time center. Why are so many down on AD? Because he can't create his own shot and therefore put the team on his back whenever it's needed. That means any max money we spend should be going on a 35 MPG 2 way wing player that can set AD up, not a rim protector.

He's a potential top 5 center in the NBA and he's super young. You acquire assets in the NBA. There's no guarantee that he'd re-sign with us but you would have 4 months to bust your arse trying to ensure that he does - even if it's just a 1 year deal to let the new cap space roll over.

Unless we get a Marc Gasol type, which there really aren't any Marc Gasol types that are young enough to fit with AD, then we need a part time center. Part time center means you sure as hell shouldn't pay max for it which means you just traded Ryno to rent a guy you have no business resigning. The young guy you want to wrestle away from Miami is Winslow, not Whiteside.

Miami also doesn't have his Bird Rights...so they wouldn't be trading those. We would need to attempt to clear out some space to even have a chance at re-signing him. To a max deal.

Yeah, I don't get the infatuation with Whiteside especially for this team. It's not like he's Drummond. He's not that young. His offensive game is limited and he offers little to no passing. He's a recovering headcase and not a high IQ guy. He's not a great defender. Fans too often conflate shot blocking with defense.

I've been watching the Pels/Hornets from the beginning and I can honestly say this is probably the least interest i've had in them in a long time. Without a doubt the least i've watched them, despite being able to watch every game easily as opposed to having to search for a feed for them online that hadn't been shut down by the government since i've never had Cox.

I watched early on this year and quickly lost interest. I watched through B-Diddy bitching and not wanting to be here, Jamaal Magloire sitting out half a season b/c his left pinky finger was bothering him, early CP3 when we were terrible (and when he dunked on Dwight Howard), and even the Jeff Bower experiment. there was always some hope left in me that we could turn it around. Don't really feel that way anymore, or i guess i just don't care. We've made dumb decision after dumb decision after dumb decision.
Should have never tried trading away Tyson Chandler back in the day. That trade that never happened pissed off everyone on that team and sent them in a downward spiral eventually leading to coach being fired and all 3 all-stars leaving.
But that bonehead decision led us to AD. We looked challenging last year against GSW in the playoffs. There was a buzz in the area about this team, a buzz that had been gone ever since the Peja head was running around during that series with SAS, that we lost badly after the team got arse raped by Denver where no one seemed to give a shite except for CP3.
We went from making a few moves, which we didn't do, to get us to possibly be considered actual contenders, to lottery pick in a span of 6 months, with the only change on the team being the coach.

We haven't had a draft pick since AD which also doesn't help with the buzz, or with the development of this team.

This team isnt' fun to watch. They are just starting to look like they care a little more, but still not enough to make me watch more.

I'm ready for this season to be over with. Just looking forward to what we get for Ryno/EG/Reke/Asik, and finally having a first round draft pick(maybe). Since there's been little buzz about those players recently, this board has nothing worth talking about.

and just a reminder, I still don't like Asik, or our coach.

The problems are:

1. You and the group in question have no idea how to conduct yourselves. It's fine if you have a differing opinion but it's HOW you say it.

2. Everyone is frustrated and that is fact but posting shite threads isn't helping anything is it?

3. The woodwork mentality: where the hell were some of y'all when things were going well? And now you can act like "oh I've been around since the beginning and know better"

Where are the posts actually giving credit to players/team when they do well?

Frustration is augmenting it for sure but there's fundamental problems here.
