for under $650. I would prefer to keep it in the $550 range if possible. I don't play video games and figured I could just buy an Amazon fire stick to access any apps.
Sorry if this topic gets hashed out all the time. TIA.

You can't find a good quality non smart TV. Try walmart?

Just left walmart. Most of the 55" were the smart TV variety. They had an LG model for $600 but I figured I would get some input before I pulled the trigger.
I saw this one online that I had my eye on.

I'm a TV novice on a budget. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal?

Listed at $530 and same tv is $700 on amazon.. just seems too good to be true.

I bought a sharp aquos 55” stupid TV a few months ago for 599. It works well. I recommend it.

Bought an RCA 55 on Walmart.com for $398. Great picture. Remote is garbage and sound leaves something to be desired, but using Directv remote and running through external speakers, so not that important. Bought it to replace a Sceptre (also Walmart). Underrated TV brand in my opinion.

completely recommend this.
smart TV's are sooo slow and not worth it. get a cheaper TV and just add an hdmi stick for your smart needs.
i have two smart TV's and never once use their apps because they are both slow and awful.

I love LG products.
That 55" LED looks like a tremendous deal with free shipping.. for only $529
and it comes with a wall mount!? free, geez.
I wish I had bought this last year instead of my Vizeo 50" smart tv for more money..
You're right though, it's $700 on Amazon
Outstanding.. plus they take Paypal, so I wouldn't worry too much if they are a legit place or not. Paypal should have your back.. pay with them.. even if you don't have a paypal, I believe you can just use your card through them for one time purchase?

I have all dumb televisions in the house, except 1 - I bought a TCL Roku television for my home gym. It is a built-in Roku interface, roughly equivalent to a Roku 3 in functionality. It does not have the greatest picture, but the Roku interface, itself, is . It is also very reasonable, price-wise.

I picked that LG up that PhiTiger linked for $400 refurb from Walmart during the Amazon prime day deals. $529 is still a great price new, and it has a great picture. Highly recommend.

Out of stock right now, but they come back in stock from time to time.

I purchased 2 Sanyo 51" at Sam's for the kids rooms and I'm super impressed with the picture on them

Did this purchase go as stated? I'm looking to buy as well and that appears to be a better deal than anywhere else I look.

I am also considering it as well.
I assume it went well for him since he didn't state anything bad yet.

If anyone lives near a Fry's, they have some great deals on 55 in TVs weekly if you sign up for their emails. Delivery is rarely an option, though.
