That may be an option for him with Ducre and Upchurch getting snaps at FB as well.
I think Mouton and Upchurch will be H-backs.

Marcus Spears was a tight end converted to defensive end. Beckwith was a high school QB. I'd say they handled the transition well. Think before you post.
Spears went both ways and actually practiced at both DE and TE spots. And became a full time DE after the 4th or 5th game of his freshman year.
Beckwith was always going to be on the defensive side of the ball in college and at LBer. He played QB because he was the best athlete on the field in every game in high school, just like a lot of great athletes and big recruits do...
But you want to rely on guys at LBer that haven't taken a practice rep on defense in college, and I don't think Upchurch or Ducre played defense in high school either, instead of actual LBers... Right.

Nearly all those guys you listed are under 215 lbs. All the guys I listed are bigger than 215lbs
Actually the only ones below 215lbs are Alexander and Voorhies, and he just made the switch from Safety to LBer. Plus, youre talking about 2016. They have a whole year to add weight. And do you remember Kwon? He was an excellent LBer for us and weighed about 220lbs while at LSU.
And sure, the guys you listed are bigger than 215lbs... But aren't LBers, especially Ducre and Upchurch. Mouton is the only 1 you mentioned that I could possibly see switching to D. Teuhema is already getting reps at LBer and actually plays on D.

I think the only guys on the current roster that would make any sense at moving to LB (OLB only) are S. Teuhema and C. Thompson. Teuhema is too small to be an every down DE and C. Thompson is going to continue to be buried on the depth chart at S.
The real question isn't who tries to convert to LB, but who is going to be our MLB if Beckwith does go pro?

Just a personal observation,RJ looks as though he could play some OLB

Since we will be losing all three linebackers after this year
How about we just recruit some linebackers?
