Les-Johnny-Paul ; who if any could be fired

If a coach were to be FIRED, who would it be first and why.
I say Paul.
I think football has a 10 win season and we have phenomenal recruiting classes inbound.
Basketball will be a great year with our recruiting class and Jones will likely be extended.
IMO Paul is the underachieving coach of the bunch.

In the Rant's opinion?
All of them.
All of them.

I don't see any of these coaches being fired anytime soon, but if somehow football went 6-6 or something like that, it is possible Miles is on the hot seat next year.

If they go 6-6 and the offense is a joke yet again, Les is going to have some answering to do for sure. If they go 6-6 , and the problem is the defense couldn't stop anybody, Steele is hitting the bricks and Les will get another chance to get it right.

None are in any real danger, but if I'd had to pick one, I'd say Jones. If he fizzles out this year with a team of very good veteran players and one of the best incoming Freshman classes in the country, I think it would be fair to question whether he will ever be able to produce significant on-court results at LSU. The though process might be to cut bait and move on.
I don't think that happens, but that's my opinion for the sake of discussion

Caldwell will be the first to go. Les in two years if this year is bad, then he will need to make SEC championship. If they are good this year, he retires here.
After that it will be swimming,or some other non revenue sport.

So you want to fire the coach that has the most success this past year in their respective sport? Makes tons of sense.

I'm with you here. I think Mainieri is our best coach right now, him and Miles both have trouble finishing a season, but Mainieri has us consistently performing at a higher level right now. Mainieri just has the toughest personality, which gets me sometimes as well. He often has a complete lack of accountability, and has the audacity to talk about being at disadvantage to Vanderbilt at a school with a baseball program like LSU's. They're all great recruiters, but I think CPM's coaching ability is probably the strongest.

Stupid, stupid, stupid thread

Pauls has his team constantly finishing top 10. Took them to the cws and a top 5 finish.
Basketball is on a different level and trending upwards with the #1 player overall.
Miles has dropped our program the last 3 years straight. How would it not be him next?

So you're firing the most successful coach of the three?
Glad, you aren't Joe Alleva.

Sounds like you have unrealistic expectations for the baseball team.

Caldwell will be the first to go.
Just get Kramer's mom in here, pay her what she wants and be done with it.
Then move on to bigger and better things, with LSU WBB returning to their rightful position in the Top Ten.............

I think some of the idiots on this board should be fired as LSU fans.
