Will the finest eating establishments be open for this event? In previous years many closed down during this event. What finer hotels will be open? In the last couple of years hotels were severely damaged. Those people were actually bbqing in their rooms. They had their smokers and pits going full fury in their rooms. TV's, pictures, towels and mattresses were taken from the rooms. Many lights were stolen out of the rooms.

A lot of idiots on here are mistaking essence festival with the bayou classic. The crowds are markedly different IMO.
