I can't really tell from this picture you're too far away, but it looks like a rat snake. get closer and take another one.

Saw a speckled king the other day pond fishing, assumed he was just passing through cause I'd never really seen any around. This fricker proceeds to follow us around the bank in the grass, swimming out to get the texas rig when it hits the water, following it back on the retrieve. A few times he came within feet of us curious of the baits. Never seen a snake so unafraid of a group of people.
