Good deal for both. But I think the inclusion of straily will just mean the Astros will eventuallyhave to waive him as opposed to the cubs. But if that's the throw away that was needed to get the deal done then great. Who knows. Maybe he does contribute. Best of luck to him.

Doubt he contributes. But if you're happy having him I'm happy trading him. Glad it worked out.

Dude has plenty of potential, he could turn into a solid #3 or #4 an lower his ERA to the 4 range. I have faith he turns it around soon

Anything is possible I suppose. I don't see it though. Best of luck to him. Glad he gets to go to a place he can compete for a starting job.

Straily's value always came in the form of his Minor League strikeouts. I still have a little hope, but I had no problem moving him.

This was a nice trade where both address an issue of need. I really like both sides "won."

Straily will get crushed playing half his games in Houston. He gave up tons of homers in Oakland which is a graveyard compared to Houston. He has a plus slider, but a AAA fastball.
