Was he allowed to recruit as a non position coach! I thought they moved him to Lb coach so he could recruit? He only had 2 seasons at bama.

Is Bama's success really reliant on how good its individual recruiters are? I would think, given Saban and his championships, he just has to sit back and accept the recruits he desires for the most part.

Was named the Rivals recruiter of the year in 2005 and ranked in the top 5 every year he was at Clemson in recruiting.

The guy is a tremendous recruiter. Nobody should be doubting that. But we need an experienced DC more than a recruiter.
