Thw whole "vampire Bill dying for noble reasons" was a simpleminded contrived storyline. He claims to be doing it for Sookie's sake but it was the very opposite of what Sookie openly stated she wanted.

Both the book and the show ended badly.
The books went to shite early, but I stuck out the first ten, then just read the synopsis for the last two.
Unlike GOT there was little to no similarity. Tara a white shop owner. Sam the final suitor.
Lafayette died in the first book.
Just very dissimilar.
But the first 4-5 are actually okay reads.

And wouldn't you think Hoyt accepts that one day he will become a vampire too. Marrying someone who is eternal is kind of a joke if you aren't too. More like getting a dog than a husband.

I think that was the point...
what bothered me was that everyone acted like everything was all ok now that the virus was over
and that is all good, except for the other previous 7 seasons, plenty of bad shite went down without the virus

yep, her cherry goes back to normal after each time. she also bitched early on in the relationship that it was painful each time she and hoyt had sex. by the end of the series she likely just got used to painful sex.

Just finished the show. Watched most of it in three days or so. Three worst days of my life but I couldn't give up. Too invested.
