This sucked, they should have went out in a blaze of true deaths but no we had to have a touchy feely series finale with nothing of quality except Eric and Pam at the end. I'm not surprised it ended this way they didn't even have a fricking villain this year except for vamp AIDS.

Lafayette was a great character. Then, the shitty writers decided to turn him into Whoopi Goldberg from Ghost.

And Jasons Psycho-Vamp ex which took exactly 2 seconds to resolve when Hoyt shows up and caps her.
Finales in general have sucked arse this year. I sincerely hope AMC doesn't shite the bed with Mad Men.

IMO since it's Weiner's baby he won't frick it up. I also trust Winters to not frick up Boardwalk Empire's either.
Granted this show started to go to shite when Alan Ball was still writing for it, but it's painfully obvious the folks who inherited it had no clue what to do.

. As much as people say that GoT has a lot of nudity, I'd argue that TB had way more. S4 of GoT barely had any compared to S1 .

I used to watch this series and then skipped last season because it was just so stupid. I was out but something pulled me back in and I watched this final season. Why did I waste my time?
As far as the ending goes it wasn't that bad. All the loose ends were neatly ties up. For a second, a moment of weakness, I actually felt bad at Bill's death scene. Bill, if you wanted Sookie to move on you didn't need to die you just needed to move somewhere far away and not contact her anymore. So for being so dumb I guess I don't feel bad you ended up a pile of goo.
Agree with pretty much everybody who posts here that Eric and Pam are the only decent things on this show.
I just read the wiki on what the ending was for the book series. Wow, as bad as the TV series has been that book ending was absolutely horrible.

Just finished watching the finale and it was what I have come to expect from this show. One highlight however was deleting True Blood from my DVR recording list.

I'm still confused as to why the writers made every season merge...they could never just end it
season 4 started at the end of season 3, season 5 started at the end of season 4 and so forth
it was so fricking weird, and it made it all blur together, nothing was memorable...a curious decision to keep doing it as the reviews and ratings started to take a slide
