New Gas Range?

One of these days, it's going to be time to replace our range/oven. Our kitchen is small, and the current range is a 30". So that's probably the we'll go with (don't want to cut countertop, etc.)
Anyway, we're sticking with gas and thinking of options. Anyone been in the market lately and have any suggestions?

I think a dealer posts here with good info. A search will likely pull up a few threads or he'll be along soon, probably.

The first question: what's your price range? I have a 30" BlueStar. It rocks. But it wasn't cheap.
A friend just bought an Electrolux that looks pretty sweet (no one's cooked on it yet). It's not exactly cheap, but not in the Wolf/Dacor/BlueStar price category.

I honestly don't know the market that well. Does $1200 to 2000 provide some decent selections? $2500?

I currently have a 30 inch wolf gas range in the place I'm renting. After using it for about 8 months I would never purchase one.
Some issues, hard to clean and the little rubber feet on the grates burned off so things skate around a bit. The oven is also gas and seems to work well, but don't try to use the cook top and oven at the same time, I guess the gas feed is too small or the design is flawed.
I don't think these issues should exist on a premium range.
For my new house I am going with induction with a gas line just in case I don't like it. It certainly is easier to clean.
Good luck.
