My work league rules make Passing TD's the same as rushing TD's

Do you think this makes a top 4 QB more important than a top 4 RB in your opinion?

Also the yardage points are:

Passing Yards 15 yards per point; 10 points at 100 yards

Rushing Yards 10 yards per point; 10 points at 100 yards

Those are some seriously fricked up yardage scoring settings. If your Qb really gets 17 points for 105 passing yards and 6pt TDs, then Qbs should be the only position drafted in the first round

quote:

Passing Yards 15 yards per point; 10 points at 100 yards

I'm reading this as 105 yds= 7 points + 10 point bonus over 100

Your work league has a screwed up point system. That really makes no sense, at all.

Yeah my first year in it. Most of these guys have played for a while. I'll probably get stuck at the end bc of that.

If you are double dipping on the bonus, it will really skew the results week to week. I would not do that. You should award points based on accumulation and skip the bonus. I also highly recommend decimal scoring and would not play in a league that didn't have it.

Yes and no. Yes because it will make the quarterback scoring much higher than other positions. It will also make the "running quarterbacks" a little less attractive.

And no because it probably won't turn the first four draft picks into quarterbacks.

The value in a top four RB is that there aren't very many backs who have the outlook of the top four.

6 pt passing TDs doesn't change it much but this
quote:

Passing Yards 15 yards per point; 10 points at 100 yards

Changes the game completely.

My wife is in an all girls league. In typical female fashion they wanted to get points for literally every accomplishment, including completions. Yes, completions. It was stupid; Manning scored 90 something points one week.

Point is, your QB will be your highest point scorer by a huge margin, so burn an early pick on a good QB.

I play in a league that is fairly QB heavy....not as much as yours though.

Still....it's QB heavy enough that Manning-Brees-Rodgers will definitely be 1-2-3.

I have 2nd pick

I've pretty much always played in leagues with 6 points for a passing TD, but 25 yards per point and no bonuses.

So RBs go first overall but the top 1-3 QBs do tend to go in round 1.

With your settings, I think you should take a QB in one of the first few rounds, but you don't have to go round 1, because the second-tier QBs are still going to score plenty.
