Not it's really not. His averages were not bad last season. He also shot very well from 3 which lessens the need for a sharpshooter at SF.
If he's healthy and in good shape (appears to be), he will likely be our 2-3 best player offensively this season.
If we can move him for something decent, obviously we make that move. But Gordon is a much better player than a lot of people are giving him credit for.

Everyone who's acting like Gordon is a superstar that we just could never find another guard in the league with similar numbers.
He's not an all-star player anymore. He's fell off.

Yaa, that's how I see it.Decent player that just isn't worth the Max,though he has shown flashes of being one of the best 2 guards in the league.

Who here is acting like that? Gordon averaged over 15pts a game last season and shot 39% from 3. Bash his attitude and his contract all you want, but that's a good player. The 15pts a game was also a career low for him so there's a chance he could improve on that since he should be in the best shape in a while.
Again, I said that's a good player. Not an all star or superstar, a good player.

No one's saying his numbers aren't "good"
But when someone like me implies that Gordon is replaceable and the automatic go-to responses are "dont bash the player!" or "he's not as bad as people are saying!" it's a bit of a kneejerk.
He's a middle tier guard. Almost dime a dozen.

So lets go ahead and play speculation.
Say he plays 34mpg, shoots 44/39/80 , averages 3rpg and 3apg, and averages 14/4/5 attempts. All of which are about career averages.
He'd average:
6.2/14 fg, 1.6/4 3p, 4/5 ft
18.0ppg
3.0rpg
3.0apg
is that sufficient enough?
Say he plays 34mpg, shoots 44/39/80 , averages 3rpg and 3apg, and averages 14/4/5 attempts. All of which are about career averages.

Not to most Pelican fans. People have soured on Gordon to the point they'd hurt the team to get rid of him. The only problem I have with Gordon is his pay. He is payed like a superstar but I think the injuries and the fact that refs get blind when he drives limit his celing as above average. He averaged more points and shot a better percentage than Tyreke while playing a lot of games (for him). I think the Jrue Gordon Tyreke AD Asik lineup is the best option for the team. That lineup has spacers for Tyreke and if Gordon bounces back defensively, it has plus defenders at four positions. Evans also isn't as bad at defending SF's as people make him seem.
