PG: Holiday/Rivers/Russ Smith
SG: Reek/Gordon/Rivers (I assume we'll be smart enough to start Reek at SG..who knows though)
SF: ???/Salmons/???
PF: Davis/Anderson/Pat Young???
C: Asik/Withey/Ajinca

Areas of concern:

Small forward, starter and backups (Aminu coming back? Babbit staying with team? Fells going to make the roster?)
Back up guards (need a shooter, not sure how back up PG shakes out with Rivers and Russ)
Back up PF/center (need depth at both spots, Pat Young?)

Any changes? Comments?

I think we trade Ajinca and keep P. Young as the backup 4/5.

There has to be another 3 on this roster. Maybe Chris Singleton? I'd prefer Aminu....

I was conflicted as well right there, but I figured who else would it be

I doubt they throw Russ Smith out there to start the season, so who else?

If we start Reek at SF I'm not going to be happy

The guy isn't a SF

Reke can function at PG too

I was just commenting that Rivers seems out the door

With the help behind him on D, it could work.

I agree with this starting line up.

Holiday-Gordon-Evans-Davis-Asik

Rivers and Anderson should be able to run a second unit.

While people complain about Evans at SF he played the majority of his minutes there last season. I also think the offensive firepower will more than make up for any defensive worries of Evans at SF.

Also Holiday and Gordon are plenty good enough shooters to spread the floor.

The guy just seems wasted at SF. How is he going to guard Durant, George and other 6'9"+ SFs

Although we might as well call it what it is, a 3 guard rotation

Yeah, I know and if we didn't have AD/Asik helping, I'd be more inclined to agree. Positions are so fluid now days. AD will lock down KD

Playing SF doesn't have to mean sitting in the corner waiting to shoot 3s. He could easily run the offense with Gordon and Holiday spotting up.

I suppose

I'm more concerned with the defensive aspect tbh

But on any possession that Reek is standing on the wing is a wasted one as far as he's concerned. A 3&D SF would do so much more good for us than having a dribble penetration guard out there at the 3.

well if he just simply put his mind to it and tried, he could.
he's got a 7 foot wingspan, the weight and the foot speed to be a great defender, he just doesn't really want to.

Maybe if he got to the playoffs, we might see what kind of defender he can really be.

We're rollin like this:

PG: Holiday/Smith
SG: Gordon/Reke/Random 3pt shooter
SF: Dudley/Salmons/Chief
PF: Davis/Anderson
C: Asik/Withey/Young

Minute distribution is gonna be something like this:
Davis 34-36mpg
Holiday 32-34mpg
Gordon 30-32mpg
Asik 30-32mpg
Reke 30-32mpg
Dudley 24-26mpg
