My harmony 900 remote looks like it has come to the end of its life. Any recommendations on a replacement or is it still the best thing out there?
FYI I run a TV, direct TV dvr, Blue Ray (behind cabinet), and home theater system (behind cabinet)
TIA!

Probably an app for this...
Thoughts on just using a tablet, phone...?

900 is still what you want if you need RF. My buddy has the Harmony One, but I don't like that everything is touchscreen.

I have the One. I hate the buttons on it... liked my old 880 much better.

My inlaws have the Harmony Touch 15 and it seems to be much better than their old harmony remote. It's pretty slick.

Just replaced mine with harmony smart control and like it a lot. Only bad thing is it doesn't have ir capability in the remote but the hub controls everything. Do the hub can be hidden and control everything like rf but if tv will need its own blaster run out the cabinet to get ir signals to it. Worked ok for me because I ran blaster through same holes behind wall to tv as hdmi and the signal works well from behind tv so it's hidden. Saved me a lot of money over harmony ultimate and I really didn't want touchscreen again.

I use Smart IR app on my Galaxy Note 3. Works great! Best $7 remote eva!

I have the One and like it. But I think the only remote comparable to what you have is the Ultimate One. The only problem I see with that is its touch screen so you would have to look at the remote when making a selection. I like to slide my fingers across without looking. That's a problem with touch screen.

A lot of the Harmony remotes are absolute POS products. The only one I've had that lasted more than a few months is the 880, going on three years now.

My 900 works excellent. Why don't you pick one up on ebay?

This is why I came here before buying a new one. I have had lots of trouble with this one and I finally won't even power up anymore.
