Need Simple Rub for Ribs

Something with a little spice, but not too spicy so the women can eat it and not complain-I don't need to hear their crap on Mothers Day.

1/4 cup paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons fresh ground black pepper
1 tablespoon cayenne

Easy and good

White sugar
Salt
Black pepper
Paprika
Chili powder
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Dry mustard
Very little cocoa powder
I top with fresh rosemary. Also, I don't measure I just add and taste as I go.

It's hard to screw up a rub for ribs. As long as you've got the basics like brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper and some chili powder you can add whatever you want. My go to rub has a little bit of allspice in it. I've made rubs with rosemary powder and mustard powder. Can't go wrong starting with either of these:
