Im not sure anything can make me go to season 5. The way the year started after having hope has killed my want to drive br to nola all year again.
I dont trust our staff at all.we will never learn defense under this staff. Its been same mistakes no matter players
Gordon is a max contract who is going to be injured by end of week
Our medical staff hasnt kept players healthy since year 1 so new players cant excite me.

And finally maybe im tired of paying money to see a team go into tank mode before February. Everyonr who cheers for losses and tanks doesnt put dime 1 to the pels. Tired of supporting a franchise that has put me through it 3 years now. I want to be able to post tank pics and not see money burning.

Overall the franchise is sickening and a joke. Its amazing we have managed to keep them here. Now that we dont have bench marks I wont feel guilty about giving up ky seats.they are here to stay. Let someone else sport this loser financially Im going to find funny tank pics to use next year

can you provide a legitimate, logical, well thought out response behind why you want Dell fired?

I thought I just did. New blood.

Why is Demps so fricking wonderful anyway? Outside of a few ticky tack fricking deals that meant nothing long term, he hasn't really done anything spectacular

The Holiday trade was nice, but it's still up in the air who really won that trade. What else was really amazing by him? The Anderson trade was pretty good. Reek was nice, but not a game changer

The man is some sort of fricking demi-god on here, and beyond any sort of criticism. frick that. This is the same dude that held Austin Rivers in such high esteem and re-signed frick Face to a max deal? The CP3 trade that frankly has pretty much been a disaster for us. Ignoring the GLARING hole we've had at SF for years now. The only home run, franchise changing move he's ever made was Davis, and that shite fell into his lap.

Why should I not hold him partly responsible to the state of this franchise?

If they fire Monty, you'll re-up, I know you.

I legitimately can't make it to New Orleans enough to justify season tickets, so I just pretend like the team doesn't exist now.

Fire Monty and trade Gordon
or Fire Monty and Grab a real center if Gordon is untradeable
or Fire Monty drop all the dead weight Aminu, Roberts, Steam, Morrow, and grab a decent sf
or Fire Monty and get a draft pick like Embiid

Well I'd actually buy tix if I could get a hold of someone in the ticket office to discuss. I don't like and don't want to deal with ticketmaster

For me to renew I would take a new coaching staff, medical/training staff and a couple big moves in the off season. But honestly with my work schedule keeping me from attending so many games and my first child on the way I doubt I'll renew anyway.

This thread makes me a sad panda. Not a single, I'm renewing my Tix regardless of this season's outcome.

I'm out.

A new coach won't fix this short term and if Monty stays it will be the same results next year

but not a game changer

Why do people have this expectation that Demps should be able to conjure up a trade for a game changer. You don't just swindle other GMs out of their stars by talking purty to them. You have to have the right asset package at the right time. And the right time is ONLY when a disgruntled star is forcing his way out.

We were asking why Morey hadn't been fired a full 2 years before Morey's mediocre asset acquisition plan turned into Harden. Morey's not some brilliant negotiator that swindled OKC, he just did the only thing he could do with an owner that mandated aiming for the playoffs every year and he was lucky that that owner was very patient with him. Neil Olshey didn't swindle Demps out of CP3, he's just lucky he had the only rebuild package available in a market that CP3 found desirable.

So who's the next disgruntled star that will accept New Orleans as a market? I'm guessing it's Kevin Love, and I'd say Minnesota is tired of rebuilding and a reload package of Anderson + one of our guards would be attractive. You can't say Demps failed to get a game changer until a game changer that would actually resign here comes on the market.

I guess you can say that Demps "missed" a shot at Harden by having faith that Gordon could be who we all hoped he could be, as evidenced by him not even returning calls on S&Ts with Houston and Phoenix and being completely blindsided by Gordon showing up to camp injured. I don't want to completely absolve Demps from that, but thanks for the heads up medical staff Pretty much the only thing I see that can save the Gordon move from being a big mistake is if Demps can swindle Larry Sanders out of Milwaukee.

Is that one move enough to get him fired? I don't know, I think we're set up ok for the next disgruntled star, the GM pool is kind of thin, and we know we can do a lot worse (never forget the Walrus). Show me another GM candidate that will do as good a job and I'll consider it, but change for the sake of change could be a bad idea when the GM pool is even thinner than the HC pool.

Also, I've said for a while I thought that just like Monty needed better assistants, Demps could use a senior adviser, maybe he gets that guy in Karl who's seen enough to tell him things like putting Kaman on the block will only lower his value and create an awkward situation later.

His moves haven't been awful at all, but fair to say he hasn't built much in 3 years.

Demps getting a complete free pass here while Monty is blamed for every flaw is baffling to me.

If we want to say Demps is in asset gathering mode, fine. Judge the team's performance as an unfinished product too.

Pelicans have 3 ball dominant guards with bad habits and one of the worst collections of defensive talent in the league. Of course there will be ball movement and defensive problems. This isn't to say Williams is safe. The schemes need (a lot of) work to fit the talent. But the talent provided isn't making his job any easier.

Here is a roster breakdown: 4 guards 6'4" and under, poor rotation bigs, and only 2 big wings. No veteran leadership on the court and in the locker room. There is talent on hand, but it needs time and it needs help. Davis is a monster, but is still making lots of mistakes on defense and isnt ready to anchor this team yet.

Monty likely doesn't have the ideas to make this roster work, but very, very few could to the satisfaction of this board
