when we played Florida and had moderate success, came out with a win, by pounding the ball. We had an explosive offense up to that point that featured a potent passing attack combined with the big threat of Hill at RB. When we beat Florida the old way, I kind of figured it would have a carry over effect to this game and the rest of the season moving forward.

Except we were chunking the ball downfield all game which isn't the "old" way

Physical LSU win over physical yet limited Offense Boom/Fla team + greenhorn young LSU D off big game effort with success + LSU's rival(UM 10-3 ATS last 13 vs LSU..Dog 12-2 last 14 in Series) = Bad News ReBears that were gonna once again out-shovel and outwork LSU on the Effort Meter in this SEC series.

a few chunks down the field doesn't make up for lineing up in 1 or 2 receiver I formation sets and pounding the ball with Hillard and Magee for a large portion of the game. It's a 60 minute game, can't just give away a big portion of it.

Agreed. Mild mannered Mr Miles believes his offense wins though games. Maybe the Georgia loss eroded his confidence in Cam-ball so he decided to take the reigns once again.

My post on the Secrant:

His inability to stay with the offense that works early on kills us every year. This year, we field a shell of last years D, which hurts even more. I dont think the players will quit. Our staff will put them in piss arse positions the rest of the way. This will make it look like our guys are quiting. Guess i'll hope for Fournette the rest of the year.
