Full frontal humble brag below:

So last night I went to see Chennai Express, the latest Bollywood blockbuster at this theater with my SO and a Brit we met the day before.
Wow, was this an experience every movie snob should see. The theater is huge and with great decor. Seats are assigned when you pay one of three ticket classes. We booked four 2nd level box seats that came out to maybe $4 a person for the 6 o clock show.
The movie was mostly all in Hindi with some English thrown in, but being a pretty straightforward action comedy love story you could follow along pretty well.
What was fun was all the men/boys hooping and hollering during certain scenes(like the early scene where the beautiful female lead is running to catch a train) and with the fact I couldn't understand the movie and the loud volume, it really added to the experience. There must have been a few hundred people in the theater at one time.
If any of you film guys ever get a chance to see one of these movies here, it is a can't miss experience.
Sorry I couldn't add all the requisite pictures using my tablet but maybe someone could come along and add some in the following posts.

when I was learning to fly most of the other students were indian. The smell in the plane was rough. Do you get used to the lack of D/O used over there?

I've been to Jaipur. Didn't do this though. Will definitely try to remember to do this next time we go.

Honestly, it has not been nearly as bad as I anticipated. There have been times I've ran into some rank individuals, but by in large I have been pleasantly surprised I don't need to Febreze everybody.

Awesome.
Definitely a must do. I think we lucked out with the movie that was showing being the type it was. If we had something more serious we probably would have been really confused.

Been to plenty of Indian restaurants and there is something captivating about the Bollywood films. Even though I can't understand any of it, I can't take my eyes off of it... and I'm not a film junkie like most of the people on here .

Ya, they are like a mix of old and new Hollywood film. Is pretty neat.
The couple dance scene were really cool as well.

one of the indian actresses is hot as hell. ride an elephant or camel. Youre near Rajasthan correct?

Yup. Currently in Udaipur overlooking this picturesque lake.
I went elephant riding and swam with three of them on Tuesday. I hope to ride a camel tomorrow.
