I say allow PED's in sports. Sports are at their core just entertainment. It is much more entertaining for the masses to have guys crushing home runs than to have pitching duels (I know baseball purists I know) and small ball. Baseball fans need to get off their high horses, take a chill pill about their precious numbers (every era had its cheats), stop crucifying the guys who fill the seats and pockets of the organization, and just enjoy benefits of science.

I'd call myself a baseball purist and I love home runs.
I don't want players doing illegal things to get ahead and I certainly want an even playing field

What is the criteria that we are using to say illegal? Actual law? Steroids are legal and can be administered by a doctor. Baseball law? Why can baseball not embrace something that makes the game better? It was baseball law not to allow blacks in baseball, to not allow replay. Baseball law can, has, and should be changed to improve the product for the viewers.

Cannn't say this is factual as I don't follow either Braun or the Brewers, but I thought I heard that he hit 41 HR last yr & has only 9 todate? Curt Schilling said it best: PED's make average players good, good players great, great players into HOF'ers.

Well he also has only played in 61 of 97 games thus far this year.... Now will miss next 65

He only had 9 up to him being suspended because he was out for almost a month with a bad thumb. If you were to extrapolate his AB over the course of a season, he was still looking at 27 HR.
He's still going to be a good player when he comes back.

Apparently other players know, to some extent, who is juicing. There was a comment made on tv last nite by one of ESPN's baseball experts to the effect that a starting pitcher in the Nat. League intentionally hit a batter because the pitcher knew he was juiced. The unnamed pitcher was quoted as telling an unnamed teammate that back in the dugout afterwards.

Looks like the narrative for today is to make Dino Laurenzi, Jr. a martyr.

My best guess would be 25-33% of current MLB players use PED at some point during the season or offseason.
That is my opinion.

I seriously doubt that
I do too. I think it's closer to 40% myself. I think people shield themselves from how rampant it is in the sport at every level.

Who's going to smash home runs and drive in runs for my favorite team. It's just a game.

Swamie he cheated. He made millions of people who took up for him look stupid. He cheated fellow baseball players, and his team. They beat arizona in the playoffs a year or two ago. Braun went 9-19 with 8 RBI in that series. He was cheating at the time. The guy that did the testing for MLB was fired from his job because of Braun. He is selfish scum...Ty Cobb didnt cheat, willie mays didnt cheat. jackie robinson didn't cheat, derek jeter didn't cheat...Want me to continue. I looked up to him because of what he said he was all about.. He's a joke
Ironeagle, first lets straighten out some facts.
Braun had 4 RBI in that series, not 9. And Nyger Morgan won that series for the Brewers in the 10th. Braun was not single handidly responsible for winning that series by any means.
Second, Dino was fired because he was too lazy to go a FedEx drop off location close to his house. Braun gloated too much after that, but its not like we'd even be talking about this had he just shipped the sample like he should have.
Also, its funny that you list Cobb up there with Mays, Robinson, and Jeter, because Cobb is legendary for being the biggest a-hole in baseball history. And a racist to boot.

Cobb being an a-hole is not the issue here. Tho Braun is one, too, in my opinion, because of his arrogant attitude & lying. Calling Dino lazy really has nothing to do with the fact that Braun cheated his holier than tho arse off & lied bout it to everyone in the game, including his own fans & teammates. And say what you want to say bout that Arizona playoff series, but more than a few baseball experts have quoted the Arizona players as really being pissed off at Braun & wanting him taken down.

I'm hoping some American steps up to the plate and "takes care" of Braun for us baseball fans.
I don't want to see that dude play another inning of baseball ever again.
He's worse than Lance Armstrong, IMO
