The 49ers are great if they could use 40 people on a field and have about 5 footballs in play. Their problem is only 11 can be on a field and only play with 1 football.

Getting great players when you already were a few plays away from a SB Championship I think can really bring a team down at times. Please see the reference of the Eagles the last 2 years as a guide.

Then again, It must be a good problem to have...

It is a pretty scary squad but Lattimore is injury prone and from what I remember reading about Reid doesn't he have a tendency of knocking himself out with his hits? I think if Reid doesn't change his style he will have a short and heavily fined career. But man you would hate to see this kid have to change his style. Would love for him to draw comparisons to the great Ronnie Lott. Frakkin NFL and their pussification. They might as well change it to flag football.

49ers are stacked. Lets pray Kaepernick comes back down to earth

They have a whole year of film on him, and look at what Baltimore did in the SB. Hell, it took Sean Payton flipping the lights off to keep them from getting blown out.

Remember how Cam Newton was going to revolutionize football last year since he already had one season under his belt.

Kaepernick and Russell Wilson will regress. Not to crap, they will both be above average.

are you really comparing NFL rookies (2 of whom may be "redshirted") to a bunch of FA signings?

the ravens just showed that you can win a SB with an average/slightly above-average QB. their opponent showed the same

I'm pretty sure most GM's and coaches want as many great players as possible. I could be wrong, I guess.

more importantly. loading up your roster with cheap young draft talent on their first contract allows a team to not pay roman fricking harper $8M/year. and we can see this with the 49ers replacing goldston with reid for 1/8 the price

Cam Newton was still second in the league in yards per attempt. It's not his fault he has an idiot for a coach.

And I'm sure when the Patriots drafted Tom Brady they were just padding their roster with a guy that would "ride the bench."

What makes you say Kaepernick will regress? Have you seen him over his career or just this last season?

Harbaugh was very smart in bringing in a offense that Kaepernick has been in for awhile in that pistol offense. You can never have enough weapons on a team. They didn't have too many needs coming into the draft and they covered those needs early on.

And what's to say Reid will not be better?

You are basing all of your opinion on what it exactly is, opinion. I think I'll trust Harbaugh and the guys that are paid to run the organization over you.

Yeah Can did NOT regress from what I understood. He just didn't improve his stats from the previous year.

Edit to say Cam not can.

Sorry maybe I'm thinking of someone else. I thought he had a few concussions from leading with his head.

Gonna be hard for Reid to be better than golston. Reid wasn't the the greatest at pass coverage so that's a concern. 49ers will still be hard to beat though.
