As part of a push for the Xbox, MSN wants to focus on original programming that will air via Xbox Live on presumably both the current gen system and the Durango, when it finally should appear. One of their first ideas? TVLine is reporting that MSN is in talks to get a reboot of NBC’s Heroes off the ground.
Once upon a time, the show was a rather big hit for NBC, but after a lackluster first season finale, the show steadily declined in quality until it ended in season four. This revamped show would reportedly be a new cast (most of the main actors are working elsewhere at this point, like the pictured Hayden Panettiere starring on Nashville), but it would mix in cameos from the old cast as well depending on plotlines and their schedules. Further details past that are scarce right now.

Netflix is paving the way for more original programming.

Didnt it fall off a cliff after S1?

Heroes should not come back. A one hit wonder.

At this point, I don't give a flying frick about Heroes anymore. I loved the first season and was into the second though.

Season 1 was pure greatness. Season 2 was like wait WTF? but you still kept watching because you were hoping it would get back on track. I stopped watching a few episodes into 3. Will be interesting to see if they can right whatever the hell went wrong this go round.

Save the cheerleader, save the franchise.

Exactly the same here. I kept watching because I kept thinking how much potential they had with a time-traveling samurai. Hiro was a huge disappointment though because he was never as badass as what you thought his future self from that one episode in season 1 might be.

Is Hiro working? Perhaps they could base it off the badass Hiro and roll with that.

They should take that money and spend it on getting Firefly going again instead.

They are talking more about the concept than the original show. They may have a few cameos but they don't plan on making any of the original heroes regulars.
I don't hate the idea as long as they tone down the powers. I learned to hate the original because everyone was overpowered and Hiro could have made the whole series obsolete if he wasn't such a punk arse wimp. Ohhh. I'm scared I will make things worse. Wuss.

Heroes needs more characters like the desert needs more sand.
