I know we need defense and I I wouldn't be upset if we took the best defensive player left on the board but I see this guy as a wild card for us at 15. There has been a lot of talk about Tavon Austin but this guy is just as explosive but with the size to go with it. His only knock against him is his raw talent at WR and not precise route running. Check out his highlights and yes I know it's a highlight film. Everyone tries to depend on Brees every game and I feel that was a big down fall other than the defense last year. Getting another playmaker that can stretch the field and is a big target would help us tremendously in a division that just added the best corner in the game in Revis. Lets face it does anyone of our receivers scare anyone at this point.

Thoughts?

I heard Bill Polian said he would be a better Running Back than Receiver

Wouldn't mind the pick if we didn't have the worst defense last year. He'd be a star in our offense.

Polian also wanted to trade Peyton in his prime and said the Buc's gave up too much to get revis. The years have not been good to his brain.

26 receptions for 470 yards and 3 TDs in 8 SEC games (with 4/88/1TD against lowly Kentucky). 20 receptions for 405 yards 2 TDs in 4 games vs non SEC opponents (NC State, Troy, Akron, Georgia State). 8 receptions for 107 yards and 1TD over a 4 game stretch against Bama, UGA, Miss St., USCe.

Had a good game against Florida, but basically disappeared when facing tough competition. He may be a great talent, but he's far from a great WR right now.

One is a TE and the other is a 5'6 3rd down back. We had to constantly force graham the ball bc no one could get open and we see how that worked out and consider that graham was top in the league in dropped passes. We have colston who is a possession receiver who can not stretch the field at all and Moore who is also a possession receiver who is best at underneath routes. After that are we really going to depend on Morgan and Toon to step up? Bc I'm not sold on either one of them

1. You do realize we would still have to depends on Drew to get Patterson the ball

2. the division didn't get him Tampa bay did. last time i checked the rest of their team still sucks.

All good points. I do however, think defenses fear these two as receiving threats when they are used effectively.

obviously Brees has to get him the ball but its a whole hell of alot easier to get someone with his size and speed rather than joe Morgan or lance Moore bc one of them will be our starter. Are you really ok with lance Moore or joe Morgan being a starting wide receiver this year? You are asking for trouble. When Brees and the team was at its best is when we had Henderson stretching the field and right now we have lance Moore starting and that's not going to cut it

He has a ton of potential. I just don't like him at 15.

What part of #2 offense without a head coach do people not understand?

Even with the "old arse" receivers the Saints have, the offense is not the problem. At #15, with not trading up or back, the Saints will be selecting defense. Of course, they could grab an OL if somehow one of the big 3 slips, but don't count on it.

Nuk Hopkins >>>>>>> Cordarrelle Patterson

Patterson screams bust. He produced in one big game in his only season in the SEC.

No thank you.

I actually agree that lance Moore is not a starting wr in this league. Great slot guy in our system but I'd rather have a number 1 type wr on the outside. We definitely need to upgrade our wr, I just don't see a noticeable difference between Patterson and some later round guys. This year. There is no Julio, green, Megatron type talent.

This....We could easily get Aaron Dobson, Da'Rick Rogers if you want a big and physically gifted Wr. But if you want a speedster you could get Ryan Swope, Ace Sanders, Dennard Robinson. Also don't forget about Marquess Wilson
