Should be a great time as usual. I'm skipping it this year to attend Hogs for the Cause in NOLA put on by some of my friends. Good luck to yall! I was in my hobie last saturday down hwy 23. Nice day on the water.

Fished a couple spots today. . . all I can say is next weekend will be interesting.
Huge drum were tailing everywhere. . . except they were the wrong color!
We managed 5 keeper trout around 15in, with a few more throwbacks. Only found one rat red the whole day . . . and good luck with the flounder- there is slime all over the bottom and floating throughout. Thankfully, a spot I have found flounder at in the past was holding a few keepers- gonna have to visit them again next week!
And then the forecast for Saturday isn't looking that great

I'll be down there with my canoe, but not taking part in any of the tournament. Now, you bastards better stay out of my canal. I'm bringing a load of range balls and a 5 iron. Thems my fish.
