too weird to not post-

Free agent WR Donte' Stallworth was in a hot-air balloon accident on Saturday morning and is in a Miami area hospital.
The balloon reportedly hit a set of power lines, and Stallworth is in stable condition after suffering burns. His girlfriend was also in the balloon at the time of the accident. It's unclear if she was injured. ESPN's Adam Schefter says Stallworth should make a full recovery and be able to resume his career.

---------------------
On the surprising side, Stallworth seemed to escape without any hamstring problems. Dude definitely has vehicular issues tho.

He's lucky as hell to be alive after that.

I went to the Balloon Festival in New Mexico one year and saw one get blown into a set of those really high power lines (high enough to have those orange plastic balls on them so planes/helicopters don't hit 'em)... The balloon part separated from the basket part and 3 people fell to their deaths. Freaked me the frick out.

One of the times I got married was in one

Wouldn't call it a crash landing but it was rough. Bounced down into a trailer park. Had a second balloon filming. They did crash. Worse than crash injuries was that they landed in a giant hornet's nest. A couple of the guys had to be hospitalized from many stings.

It was prolly too windy to go up. We learned later that the operator was waiting for sentencing to go to a federal pen.

I'd be dead from just one.

May have been less focused than he needed to be.

Sometimes what I call the tard tide just gets too overwhelming. I get frustrated and find it better for me to just stay away. Let the wave pass and reason seems to return. Similar to game day threads.

How bout this ST supposition- The more and bigger the Saints news is, the lower the quality of posts that follow.

When my friend died his family buried him in his Stallworth Jersey. The next week Donte' was traded.

super brakes or an alcohol detector/ingition interlock

According to early reports Stallworth was legally drunk And was reportedly under the influence of marijuana at the time of the accident; news sources reported that his blood alcohol content was 0.12

It's amazing how money can get you out of killing someone.

on June 16, 2009, that Stallworth and the Reyes family reached a financial agreement, avoiding a civil lawsuit. The amount of the settlement was not disclosed

$3 million for Uncle Mario? Sí, nos encontramos que aceptable.
