Looking for suggestions to some nice restaurants for valentines day in the New Orleans area. Ones that you think will have reservations still available.

And yes, I know valentines day is typically not the best day to go out to dinner.

Thanks

Update: ended up getting a reservation at Bistro Daisy.

You should be alright. With Mardi Gras two days before Valentines, I bet most people havent even made reservations yet.

What price range are you looking for? Area of town?

Would prefer uptown but not opposed to anywhere in the area really. Looking at least mid range to upscale.

Someone at work suggested Bistro Daisy. I'm thinking about that but wanted to hear other options.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Doesn't get enough love, IMO.

I wouldn't see why not.

I have two reservations. One at August, one at Atchafalaya. Obviously not going to use both (leaning towards going to August) so if you get in a bind and everything is booked you can have my Atchafalaya booking if you'd like.

Appreciate that.

I saw that bistro daisy isn't open today. So I guess I'll have to call tomorrow and see if I can get something lined up there.

How serious a relationship? If only six inches don't bother over planning.

I checked on Opentable a few days ago for a friend that wanted suggestions and there were quite a few places with availability. Coquette, Le Petite, Le Foret, Le Meritage, etc etc etc.

You'll be fine.

I'll be in the Caribbean so I don't have to worry about it.

Have you been to La Crepe Nanou? They don't take reservations, but it is one of the most romantic in the city.

Go old school in the quarter. Monteleone. Royal Orleans, Arnauds, Antoines. If you want freaky good call the Windsor Court and book the wine cellar.

Went there last year for Valentine's day. Was able to make a reservation a few days ahead without a problem.

Lilette, or Patois would be good choices as well. Patois is smaller, you would need to book soon.
