What is the most ridiculous price you've seen someone trying to sell something for?

I just saw an ad for a ps2 without the wires for 150

Most copies of Earthbound. You can find them all over Craigslist for <$50.

Saw this the other day, but on Amazon. Diamond Braided HDMI Cable.

The reviews are money.

quote:

I love this cable. Crystal clear audio and video. My only problem was that the instruction manual was very vague and misguiding. Long story short, I got it stuck in my urethra.

quote:

This product is amazing! It makes all sucky movies not suck! All lifetime movie actresses are suddenly naked when I watch them, and when my wife watches action movies the actors talk about their feelings for 90 minutes. My only complaint is about the limited quantities. I wanted to buy enough to replace all of the cables in my house, plus a spare. Sadly, Amazon only has 2 in stock.

quote:

For true audiophiles only. If you are ok with listening to Celine Dion and Abba in movies, go buy the cheapos at Best Boy, punk. No matter what movie I put on, my speakers play Slayer while using this wire. It is the darndest thing. Even when the tv is off, Slayer plays. Even when I'm at work, I can hear Slayer playing in my head, telling me to go kill a hooker so I can afford another one. The AudioQuest Diamond (or AQD as it is known in the hood) will even get beer for you. I only face it 4 stars since it only gives you domestic beers.

I went to a used dvd/game store to see if they had either Mario Party or Blitz for N64.

They had Mario Party 2, Jackpot!

Except they wanted 42.50 for it. LOL

An OG Easton softball bat for > $1000. Your read that correctly. Over $1000 for a SOFTBALL BAT

Nm. just saw the "gaming item" part. Still....that's a lot of damn money for a bat

Ultima Online accounts circa 2000.

If anything was the genesis of pay to play or micro transactions in games it was this.

First time that I'm aware of where people were selling virtual characters, accounts, items for big money (ie thousands of dollars). Companies eventually took this and ran with it.
