You are right on cue with these lately.

OP, I only know about the Ruger and its long trigger pull, which kept me from taking that route and led me to the Shield. Sorry thats all I can contribute

Hmmm I dont know much about the Beretta but have heard decent things.
As for the Ruger, Im just not real sold on them lately.
I had an SR9c a few years ago which had nothing but problems. I believe the lc9 is fairly similar (other than being a pocket pistol) in design but I have heard people having similar problems as my SR9c.
In general, I had a lot of light strikes on the primer and FTFs. Didn't matter what ammo I shot out of it or hell well I broke it down and cleaned it.

Of course, all guns can have their share of lemmons, but after digging around on the internet it sounds like Ruger has some quality control issues with some of their handguns.

My opinion, get a baby glock.

Would look at the M&P line along with glock's 26 and 19. Generation 4 has adjustable grips but has had a few problems. IMO beretta isn't a bad weapon but not on par with xd, M&P, or glock. Watch out for grip safeties on the xd.

I have all 3 sizes of Glocks and the 19 is plenty concealable and much more fun to shoot than the baby Glock.
