The teeth on that root rake have to be pretty far apart for that to be a 7'snake. I doubt it is much over 5', which BTW is a huge Cotton mouth.
I killed one many years ago in the Atchafalaya Swamp. I hung it on a 3 strand barbed wire fence and the tail touched the ground. We guessed it to be about 5'.
