After watching Lacy run behind Bama line and hearing he was from Louisiana and that Lsu recruited him but stopped because of his grades.
Yet it seems his grades didn't matter to Bama. Why is that? Do SEC schools differ in their requirement for entry for athletes? I know Vandy has very high academic standards but do they apply to all athletic scholarship offers? Or is there a minimum requirement across the board for all SEC teams?

We didn't have room for Lacy.. and if you haven't noticed, he's really not all that good. Their OL is the reason that all of their RBs are posting such high ypc. He did have the game of his life against UGA though. He'll be lucky to go before late 2nd round. I'd guess he goes in the 3rd.

His grades were crap and had off field issues as well. He also didnt have the best attitude at camp when he came. All that lead to us passing. His legal issues went away and he miraculously qualified.

First off, Lacy is a beast and is a damn good back. The reason LSU stopped recruiting him was his grades were terrible and he had some off the field issues. He ended up getting a lot of "great" grades in the spring and summer courses to barely qualify.

To show everyone that he isn't stupid he went to John Curtis probably one of the higher leaning high schools in the state and made A's. That's pretty smart. I'll be looking for him as a who's who someday soon.

Lacy = Charles Scott with a spin move.

He will almost definitely have a better career in the NFL than mark fricking ingram though

You dumbasses do realize that Lacy went to Dutchtown, right? The same "connections" that directed him to Alabama played a major part in Landon Collins' recruitment.

He's the most productive player that NS has signed out of LA since taking the job at UA. Lacy is solid and would definitely be on the field for LSU had he signed with us. He's a strong runner and has good speed.

He is just getting dogged for going to Bama. Lacy is a good back and agree that's he would have gotten on the field for Tigers and contributed. The thing that's interesting is if Lacy was on our team what impact, if any, would it have had on recruiting the other backs that LSU signed after him, e.g, Hill, Hilliard.

Going in the 3rd round is pretty good to me. Lacy is solid, has good size and speed. And yes it helps to run behind Bama's OL.

Ridley went in the 3rd and is doing pretty well.
