Churning Credit Cards before buying a house

We are looking to buy a house in the next year or so. I have been an avid fan of churning credit cards to get the maximum amount of rewards/cash back/points etc. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if it would negatively affect my credit score before buying the house. Should I hold off on doing this for the next year until after our purchase?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had just gotten the Chase Freedom card in May. We are buying a house right now, closing is Thursday. My lender questioned me about it. I told him the account was on the credit report he pulled earlier in Nov. He checked and said ok. He did make me sign some letter stating that Chase checked my report back in May to open an account.
I think this one was ok, but I don't think I'd make a habit out of opening credit cards before buying a house. I don't know how far they go back, but May was 7 months ago and I was questioned.
