I'm not crazy about Star Wars but they are making my list solely on how influential it was for film in general. It was seriously ahead of its time, by a good bit. And it still holds up which is something I give it credit for. Also, thank you George Lucas for saying screw it, I'm putting the credits after the movie.

great movie, but I have American Grafitti just a little ahead. It's really hard to over state the impact of Star Wars. It was still playing in theater's a year plus after it's release. After watching the Star Wars prequels it's hard to believe Goerge Lucas ever directed 1 good movie, let alone 2

I'm guessing Star Wars ends up 3rd, 2nd if we count both GF as one.

One Flew Over the Kukoo's Nest is playing on TCM tonight at 11:00 p.m. Central.

It being my #1 movie & my having two other Nicholson movies from his heyday on my list have nothing to do with this post. Just a friendly heads up from a nice guy.

Wasn't Moonraker in the 70s too? That's gonna get some consideration for my list based on pure awesomeness.
