after 1 play through I would say not great, not terrible.
not as good as Hot Fuss and Sam't Town but better than Day & Age and Sawdust

Listened to it last night, and liked it on first listen.
Initial reaction: It sounded better than Day & Age, but didn't quite live up to Hot Fuss and Sam's Town (which might be hard for them to top)
It seems solid, and I'm sure I'll be listening to it the rest of the week.

Hot Fuss was terrific - a new sound. Everything else has been underwhelming.

Sams Town was incredible. Uncle Johnny is an awesome fricking song...in their top 5 for sure. Unique to their sound and unique in general.

this is true to an extent. Hot Fuss is probably one of my 5 favorite albums of the 2000s. i pretty much expected that everything else they put out wouldn't be as good, and so far they've pretty much met that expectation. which isn't to say that their newer stuff is bad. it's just never going to be hot fuss good. sam's town was a pretty good CD in it's own right, sawdust was b-sides so of course it was lacking, and day and age was meh.
i haven't heard the new one yet. i'm glad it's getting a few positive reviews on here. i'll have to check it out.

I'll check it out. I'm a big Killers fan, but I'm lousy with keeping up on news.

i listened to it in full yesterday and if you like the killers you'll like this album, they stick to their formula and if you like that then it great. i sometimes feel like i've heard the song before on a previous album but i like it. great for zoning out while running.
eta: sam's town is my favorite album they have out

after a couple listens this album is fallin fast, couple good songs and nice to have on just in the background but i don't think there's anything special here.

I actually think Sawdust is a great album. But I for some reason always think bands' B-sides are sometimes better than regular albums.

I ordered it today. Sam's Town is the greatest one they have ever made though. Listened to that album from Arkansas to Colorado and back. I'll forever associate that with skiing in Colorado.
