1) Bama stacked the line. No they didn't they played quarters all night with two deep safeties and 7 in the box.
2) Jordan didn't have time. Yes he did, he locked onto receivers and didn't throw Wrs open he waited until they got open which led to sacks.

To say that Lee would have stopped them from stacking the box is false because they didn't stack the box in the first place. But to say that Lee would have been a sitting duck is truly false because he would have thrown some people open with his quick release. I saw 3 passes while watching the replay where his accuracy and his quick release was needed. Two to OBJ33 and the last to JL80. UK simply didn't release the ball quick and wasn't accurate enough.

True. They were getting pressure with five all night.

50/50

He had time on some plays, other times the rush was there as soon as his back foot planted.

Agreed. You could see how frustrated Randle was getting as well with his crossing routes when Jefferson would lock onto the deep ball and force into double coverage instead. It was amazing how open Randle was for much of the night. Bama's secondary was not that impressive. Jefferson just fricking sucked.

I want to watch the game again(not really) and focus on the OL. Looked more like JJ shitting his pants than there not being enough time.

This is exactly why I can't stand watching ESPN and hearing how "incredible" Bamas defense was. JJ gave that game away for us, plain and simple.

Not even close to 50/50. Jefferson's release is too slow and he can't make reads. I thought he improved on both, but he looked like he did for UF '09 when he was sacked like 7 times.

1 is true.. although on a couple of plays they did.

2 is almost true.. Late in the game it sorta looked like the line just gave up hoping that Miles would make a change. Almost looked like they didnt want to block for JJ anymore. They laid down.

Early in the game though JJ had a ton of time but never wanted to make a decision. LSU had TEs open all night long.

Just sitting here, I can think of three plays where Hurst didn't put a hand on the outside rusher. One resulted in the fumble. One was on a 2nd and 4 play that resulted in a sack and 3rd and long, and third resulted in an incompletion.

Jefferson sucked, but he didn't suck alone.

JJ would take the snap and throw to the hot route before he even looked down field or simply just run like he did when the cb slipped and the wr was wide open. JJ was so nervous when the game started and should have been pulled before half time.

The lack of game plan and adjustment by Miles and the offensive staff is mind boggling. Although Bama may not have been stacking the box, they were crashing down on every run play. LSU did not do anything to take advantage of the aggressiveness of Bama. No reverses, no screens, no misdirection! There was one option play that I watched when the Bama cb came flying off his man to help stop the option. How about a pass play off an option look? Nope, just bad coaching this game. I look forward to next year's Bama game because I truly believe Miles will have a much better game plan.

That is very true.

The point is that that is when you put one of the top 20 most efficient passers in the country in. Lee's quick release and better timing on routes would have been the perfect remedy for what was going on.

Well I think one of the biggest issues is that in the first game JJ looked like the savior and rightfully so he came in and basically won the game for us. The only reason that was is because Bama didn't plan for JJ to play. They didn't know if he was or not and their gameplan was bassed on JL. That is the only reason JJ was able to run the option as well as he did. Last night you saw what happens when NS has time to plan for a specific QB. I really think them not playing in the SEC championship hurt us more than we think.

Anytime Jefferson stepped right or left down the line, the entire Alabama defense formed a wall along the line of scrimmage.

Bottom line - they prepared, we didn't.

JJ had time. If he steps up in the pocket he has more time. There were breakdowns on the O Line last night, but zero pocket presence certainly doesn't help.

Nama played one high safety all night. The passes where the, you could see guys running open, but our assclown of a qb cannot make a three step drop and complete a pass. Make no mistake, LSU beat themselves! ;-)

That depends on the playcalling.

If you run some misdirection, some deep routes, some drop offs to the tight end, then you keep the defense honest and that would allow to throw.

If you call the game we called last night, I'm not sure it would have mattered.

But, Lee definitely should have been given a shot to see if he could spark anything on offense.

Something else that pissed me off. In the beginning of the third, we throw two 15 yard routes in the middle of a cover two zone on the sideline to Beckham. One was almost a big play, the second was a 15 yard completion.

Then we go completely away from it for the rest of the game.
