Picked up my first duck boat this weekend. It needs a little tlc but I got a great deal so I couldn't pass it up. Got a buddy that's going to weld on a handle and some flotation pods on the back. Then I'm going to repaint it. Anybody else ready for quack season?

I actually just worked on my boat trailer. Placed some new bunks on. Ready to go cut some brush.

Nice rig, I've been wanting to get the exact same set up for frogging and getting to some deer hunting spots in the swamp, maybe fishing in some hard to reach areas. Looks like it will serve you well

If you dont mind me asking, ballpark, what did that set you back as I am looking for a rig similar? Year of boat and motor?

Don't mind at all. Let me preface this by saying it was an amazing deal that I never expected. Boat and trailer are '91 and the engine is alot newer, the manual is dated 3/07. The lt frame is probably about 10 years old but in very good condition. Seller had the engine covered with a plastic drum so it looks great. He asked $1200 for everything and I was able to talk him down to $900. He had papers on boat & trailer.

Little advice: do searches on la sportsman classifieds because some people post in the wrong category. Only way I found it.

Yea, I was expecting to get there and there be a hole in the bottom or it be as hot as a firecracker!

Nice deal, I'd love to come across one like that. A boat like that has so many uses in South Louisiana.

not bad for 900 bones. looks like you may need some storage space. or at least something where you can strap down a supply case, ice chest, etc..

Yea I'd like to make one of the benches storage but I'm not sure if I can. Anybody do this? I think it's full of foam, right?

I believe so, I don't see where else they would put the floatation. If it were me I'd be doing some fishing out of it anyway, so I'd probably make a front deck out of marine plywood and keep a drybox under it.

I'd upgrade the trailer tires, unless you're gonna keep the boat at a camp, and not much on the road.

A good light on the bow would be nice too, a front deck if you're gonna fish out of it, and some storage/gun/rod boxes.

I'll give you $1000 for it.

Definitely putting some big boy tires on it. I was nervous pulling it home with those little wheels.

I like the idea about the deck, I'm going to try to fit one in.
