The messed up thing is, I knew a guy who had a gator show up in his pond as a baby. He fed it for years and grew very comfortable with it.

When it was about 7 or 8 feet long one day it ran him up a tree where he stayed until his wife got home.

The gator was dead a few minutes later...

Moral of the story, one day they'll become territorial and decide to eat you. Although that's a huge croc not to be territorial.
