Are we the worst #4 team ever....

....or are we ready to suprise the world...
I have not been impressed at all this year but for some reason... I am optimistic today. I think we will go to Athens and win by 17 points as the offense finally gets in gear with some nice sustained drives running to the wide side of the field and throwing downfield. When the offense starts to perform up to the level that they are capable - the defense will really stand out as they will not be on the field as much and can use their ahtleticism to pull off some big turnovers.
After we beat Goergia - this team, this rant, and this fan base will quickly start believing that perhaps we can beat Florida! Most importantly - I think Florida will start to wonder if they can beat us in Death Valley!

i think playing 4 teams we were supposed to beat contributed to our team playing down ..i think a lil fear and excitement of Georiga will light a fire in their arse...seems like LSU always shows up for big games ( except the arse whippins last year of course)

oh i think most of the team showed up for that one...there was one player in particular who led to 14 of Georgia's points.
Great thread though. Im glad the rantards haven't gotten around to pissing in your wheaties yet.
I feel that most of the team will step up in a big way this Saturday. My one area of concern was, and continues to be, the offensive line. Hopefully we game-plan around that...

I think we were all looking for Miss State to be a breakout game where we put it together and it didn't happen. Disappointing that we just haven't been able to put it together. So much for putting some fire under the butts of the o-line, they just aren't performing well.
That said, in response to your subject and though they weren't number 4, they were 6; Cal was the worst of the top 10 teams by far. Our near loss doesn't begin to compare the complete butt whipping put on them by an unranked Oregon team this past weekend. Because of that I think we escaped some scrutiny by the press.

This might end up being like 2007, meaning that nobody steps forward. If OU beats Texas and Florida/Bama get beat up by the SEC schedule, it could be another mess.
