I just saw where Adebayor put Togo ahead of Cameroon. That's pretty damn impressive that 1) he started, captained, and played a full 90 minutes and 2) they actually beat Cameroon.

France with an impressive One nil victory over Lithuania. Not. How can a team with Henry, Ribery, Nasri, Diarra, Benzema (injured), Evra only manage one goal against Lithuania? Yet Domenech will continue to manage this team.

good god there are times when MLS play is unwatchable...especially when it's on shite surfaces
I watched Houston play last week on what could best be described as an unattended lawn, and now watching Red Bulls/Revs playing on an ice rink.
I get that these players aren't all-world caliber, but these surfaces only make the play look that much worse.
Especially this synthetic surface in NY...the possession and control so far have been terrible and I can't tell if it's the players fault or if the conditions are just too poor.
Either way, the MLS needs to clean this shite up. It's unacceptable at this point.

I think there are plans in the works to move all the teams to soccer-specific stadiums. That might alleviate some of the problems.
